It rained last night. A real violent thunderstorm. We had a couple of skunks snooping around the fireplace and inside the shelter. We started out late in the morning, about 10:00 because I was busy bandaging up my feet with moleskin and all. My knee didn't bother me much at all today. I didn't wear the knee brace and I didn't use my walking stick. Rick was being bothered by his knees most of the day again. We are not in too good shape! The weather cleared up around noon and we had a nice warm, sunny afternoon. Saw a rabbit. We hiked slow and took a long rest for lunch. We felt pretty good after the weather cleared anyway. It was pretty nice hiking this afternoon, very pleasant. I was starting to get into the scenery more, relaxing a bit. Enjoyed the sun through the trees in Plum Orchard Gap. Went crazy with my camera, taking pictures. Soaked my sore feet in the water from the spring. Ice cold water.
