Bill woke me up about 5:30AM and we checked the weather. Not good. Decided to leave this evening. So we slept until 9AM. Got breakfast and wrote letters. Went to a restaurant for lunch. Sat around getting bored all afternoon, reading, writing, watching TV, listening to records.
When Bill and Helen came home we went to McDonalds for dinner then out to the trail. Got started hiking around 7:30 and reached the shelter at 8:00. No one else here. Had a great time with the Wests. Really nice people. They are sending some stuff home for us, including film.
